President Donald Trump on violent crime in US: 'What the hell is going on in Chicago?' | abc7chicago.com

QUANTICO, Va. (WLS) -- While discussing violent crime in America at the FBI National Academy Friday morning, President Trump asked, "What the hell is going on in Chicago?"

"In the last two years, America has seen a tragic rise in violent crime. In 2015 and 2016, we witnessed the steepest two-year consecutive increase in murders in nearly half a century," Trump said, before adding, "And you look at what's going on... Chicago, what the hell is going on in Chicago? What the hell is happening there?"

  1. According to the infographic chart in http://heyjackass.com/category /2017-stats/#, former Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daly period racked up 14,653 homicides between years 1989-2011 for a tenure of 22 years. On average, during Daly's period, there were about 666.45 homicides per year for each year that Daly was mayor there.

Now, Rahm Emanuel has been mayor since 2011, and he's racked 3,003 thus far. If he's been mayor for six years, that's a yearly average of 500 homicides per year for the period that Rahm Emanuel has been mayor there. If you remember correctly, Richard M. Daly was a Democrat mayor and Rahm Emanuel is a Democrat mayor.

It seems that these two Democrat mayors have had a deadly impact on Chicago's population.
